Matt Woosey is regularly described as one of the hardest working musicians around, regularly averaging 5 or 6 shows a week! Matt has been gigging relentlessly since 2004 and has built up a following of loyal fans who appreciate his explosive slap-and-pick right hand guitar technique and big-range blues vocals.
Matt's music comes from a combination of his rock and blues influences merged with a guitar and singing style honed from years of constant touring and living the life of a musician. Drawing influence from a variety of artists from Rory Gallagher to Son House and from John Martyn to Led Zeppelin, Matt appeals to fans of many music genres, although blues music is firmly at the core of most of his songs and playing.
Whether performing solo, duo or with his band, Matt’s passion is to keep his music on the road and to play a huge variety of venues ranging from tiny candle-lit gigs to concert halls up and down the UK. Matt has also been impressing audiences all over Europe; TV appearances from his most recent tour in Holland have opened doors for Matt to reach larger audiences. He has secured gigs at some of the largest festivals and most famous venues, including headlining performances on the TV Nights bill at the world renowned Ronnie Scott's Bar in London.
