Lincoln Durham USA 01/10/2012 Sarratt

Owlsworld Presents Lincoln Durham Plus support: Matt Woosey
Howlin' Growlin' Blues from Texas, USA

Lincoln Durham owns the stage and has a voice to die for! Equipped with an old bastardised Gibson acoustic, kick drum, fiddles, harmonicas, makeshift 1950s amps, resonators, tin can microphones, slides and stomp boards – he's rolled them all together into the perfect One Man Band package. Owlsworld is delighted to have Lincoln playing at the Cock Inn as part of his first UK tour, where he is going down a storm and attracting a lot of interest.

At the Age of 10, Lincoln had become an accomplished fiddle player and won the Texas State Youth Fiddle Championship before quickly progressing onto blues slide guitar. Having found his distinctive voice he was spotted by Ray Wylie Hubbard.

Lincoln’s new album “The Shovel vs. The Howling Bones” produced by his mentor and legendry artist/producers Ray Wylie Hubbard & George Reiff, has received rave reviews and an immense amount of radio and press coverage.

Plus support from Matt Woosey, Contemporary Blues Artist
Matt Woosey is regularly described as one of the hardest working musicians around, regularly averaging 5 or 6 shows a week! Matt has been gigging relentlessly since 2004 and has built up a following of loyal fans who appreciate his explosive slap-and-pick right hand guitar technique and big-range blues vocals.

Matt's music comes from a combination of his rock and blues influences merged with a guitar and singing style honed from years of constant touring and living the life of a musician. Drawing influence from a variety of artists from Rory Gallagher to Son House and from John Martyn to Led Zeppelin, Matt appeals to fans of many music genres, although blues music is firmly at the core of most of his songs and playing.
