We’re very excited to have Case Hardin coming to play at The Old
Barn on 2nd April. Those of you that
like your Alt-Americana music have probably heard about these guys over the
years, or you may have been lucky enough to catch them at last year’s
Rickmansworth Canal Festival. Either Way
they're not to be missed in this intimate little venue.
Front man Pete Gow is a great performer who, in addition to writing,
creating, and performing music, also has an amazing PT Job: as a CBS News

Formed in 1999, Case Hardin are the outlet
for song- writer Pete Gow to express his tales of sorrow, heartache, and
flirtations with life’s dark side.
Despite something of a revolving door of contributors over recent years
the band has once again settled to a firm and focused line up; musicians
drilled in live performance, clearly comfortable in each other’s skins on stage
and on record.
In September 2011 the Berkshire based band
released Every Dirty Mirror, their second full-length studio album on
Clubhouse Records, the new home for Americana in the UK. This follows on from their much acclaimed 2007
album, Some Tunes For Charlie Spencer.
Their sounds have been described as impactive and organic. Immediate, yet complex enough to deliver
rewards to repeated listens.

We are delighted to welcome back the immensely
talented Declan Zapala, who is no
stranger to The Old Barn Sessions. Based
in the South of England, with over half a decade of professional experience,
Declan is a concert guitarist, session guitarist, and classical guitar teacher.
After graduating from the Tonmeister course at the University
of Surrey in 2008 with a BMus, Declan spent his time teaching classical guitar
to over 125 pupils around Surrey. He is
now furthering his studies at the Royal
College of Music studying a Masters
in Performance under the guidance of Gary Ryan, Craig Ogden and Chris
Stell; all of whom are classical guitarists deeply respected throughout the
guitar world. Declan can be found in
most coffee shops in and around South Kensington scratching his head at the
Times crossword.
