Very pleased to be hosting another show for Kidnap Alice, if you have been lucky enough to see them at last years Rickmansworth festival then you know what a treat we are all in for!
A smokin’ band from Hackney, east London, mixing up bluegrass, old time, blues and folk. With soulful vocals and tight arrangements from a classic acoustic line up, Kidnap Alice bridge the gap between vintage R’n'B and Appalachian mountain music. Kidnap Alice had their debut festival performance at Glastonbury 2010, opening the Club DaDa stage for the legendary Thursday Night Hoe Down before playing several gigs around the festival. In 2010 the band performed at many shows and events including LoveBox, Secret Garden Party, Bestival, the Big Chill, the Green Man and the National Theatre Alternative Village Fete. In 2011 the band completed another punishing summer schedule, playing many more festivals, including Glastonbury, Moseley Folk Festival, Orwell Bluegrass Festival, Secret Garden Party, Bestival and Kendal Calling. They also undertook two rural tours of the West Country.
